A final note and a chance to provoke a little thought.
“It is IMPOSSIBLE to please all of the people all of the time”
I’m not sure who said this first but it’s something I learnt in my hospitality and tourism days. You simply CAN NOT please everyone. No matter how good you, your products, your service are; someone won’t like it.
In fact if we all understood this a little better there might be a little more peace in the world. But I digress.
When you find the opportunity you feel is right for you. I highly recommend researching the company and talking to your friends and family about it.
My favourite way was to just type “Bad reviews of company xyz” into Google. I guarantee that someone will have had a bad experience or will bad mouth the company. Usually for one of 4 reasons
- They joined another company and are trying to get you to join them.
- They were the wrong people to join that company in the first place and never should have.
- They didn’t have what it takes to be an entrepreneur and blame the company for their failure.
- The company is bad.
It’s your job to try and figure out which it is. Obviously the more bad reviews you find the more likely it is to be reason 4.
So take everything you read with a grain of salt. Try to look for opinions from people with integrity or nothing to gain. People with integrity will generally not be so blunt as to say “This company SUCKS!” because they know that slandering someone else is bad for everyone involved and that every company has its good points as well as its bad. You need to sift through the information out there and make the decision that feels right for you.
Also beware of your friends and family. Some of them will probably make fun of you and call you an idiot for looking for a business opportunity online. These people are not being constructive and listening to them will offer you very little useful information.
The ones that really love you will support you no matter what you decide and sit down with you and see what it is about the company you like and why you think it is the right opportunity for you. Listen to what they have to say, they will hopefully come up with some rational arguments against it and if you can answer or get answers to these then you are well on your way to finding the right business and changing your life.
I wish you all the very best in your search for your perfect home business and ultimately the perfect life. Remember that everything has its ups and downs and more often than not, success is on the near side of failure. So never give up on your dreams.
